Bohemians have made a double swoop for towering Galway United man Patrick Hickey and Derry City centre-back Sam Todd.

Both players arrive at Dalymount Park on multi-year contracts.

Chicago-born Hickey, 27, has been a key figure for Galway over the past two seasons, having started his League of Ireland career with an 18-month spell at Athlone Town.

"Pat is a player I’ve been keeping an eye on now for some time now going back to when he was in the First Division with Athlone," said Bohs boss Alan Reynolds.

"He will prove to be an excellent acquisition, we’ve got a really good player on our hands.

"He probably didn’t get the credit he deserves for the performances he has put in with the ball at his feet for Galway this year, but it is something I think our fans will really take to."

The 27-year-old Donegal man Todd, who has also lined out for Finn Harps, UCD and Larne, made 30 appearances in the Premier Division last season.

"He’s a good age at 27, I feel he’s coming into the prime of his career so we are looking forward to him playing his best football yet," added Reynolds.

"He’s big, he’s strong, plays on the left side of defence, and I feel that he will fit in perfectly for what we are trying to build and achieve here."

Meanwhile, First Division side Kerry FC have announced that their all-time leading goalscorer Ryan Kelliher (32 goals in 81 games) has penned a new multi-year deal with the Kingdom ahead of the 2026 season.
