Tanya Oxtoby has left her post as Northern Ireland women's boss to become the new manager at WSL2 side Newcastle United.
Oxtoby has signed a deal until June 2029, leaving the North after two years at the helm.
Two Republic of Ireland internationals are currently at the Magpies: Emily Murphy and Aoife Mannion. They are fourth in the table after nine games.
Australian native Oxtoby took charge of the North in August 2023. She guided them to a European Championship qualifying play-off final in 2024, which they lost 7-0 on aggregate to Norway.
The North also reached a Nations League promotion/relegation play-off against Iceland this year. They were beaten 5-0 over two legs to remain in League B.
The 43-year-old spent two seasons as assistant coach to Emma Hayes at Chelsea, helping them win two Barclays Women's Super League titles and three Women's FA Cups.
She also managed Bristol City for three years, and has had time in assistant coach positions at Scotland, Birmingham City, Australia Under-20s and Perth Glory.
"It's been an honour and a privilege to lead Northern Ireland," said Oxtoby.
"We have seen a massive transition of young players coming through and a real high performing environment created which is a huge credit to players and staff alike who have been a pleasure to work with during my time in post.
"I wish everyone the best going forward. To the fans, thank you for always supporting the journey. Northern Ireland, and the Green and White Army, will always have a special place in my heart."
On taking the reins at Newcastle she added: "It is an exciting project and it's my job to add to that, we are very ambitious, and it will be an amazing journey.
"My job is to come in and develop players and take us to the next level. I want to help everyone reach their potential and take them on a journey that will be really successful."
