Over a million people tuned into watch Troy Parrott's magical winner against Hungary in the Republic of Ireland's World Cup qualifier on Sunday evening.
Parrott prodded home his third goal of the game in the 96th minute to send the Boys in Geen into the play-offs.
It was an instantly iconic moment and a goal that has dominated the national conversation over the last 24 hours.
An average of 788,000 viewers watched the game on RTÉ2 (a 75% share of the available audience). RTÉ Player delivered a further 435,000 streams.
The match audience peaked at 1,017,000 viewers at 4.02pm in the final minute.
Ireland's thrilling 2-0 win against Portugal last Thursday on RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player drew an average of 711,000 viewers. TV coverage peaked at 966,000 viewers on RTÉ2. The match also has 317,000 streams on RTÉ Player to date.
The drama continued on Friday when audiences saw the Republic of Ireland beat Canada on penalties in the last 32 of the FIFA U17 World Cup.
The clash attracted an average audience of 109,000, with over 334,000 tuning in at some point.
Later on Friday, the Ireland Under-21s' meeting with England in the UEFA U21 European Championship qualifiers had an average viewership of 184,000, with over half a million watching RTÉ2's coverage at some point.
On Saturday, it was rugby in the spotlight where Ireland defeated Australia 46-19 at Aviva Stadium in the Quilter Nations Series, a fixture that drew an average of 690,000 on RTÉ2 with a 54% audience share. There were 167,000 streams on RTÉ Player.
All the sporting drama was captured on RTÉ Radio 1's Inside Sport, Saurday Sport and Sunday Sport, while there were live updates and commentary on RTÉ.ie/Sport which recorded five million page views across the weekend.
The action continues on Tuesday with live coverage across RTÉ of the Republic of Ireland's FIFA U17 World Cup last-16 tie against Switzerland (2.30pm, RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player) followed by the U21s' UEFA Euro qualifier away to Andorra (6pm, RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player).
