Republic of Ireland Under-21 manager Jim Crawford has called up Leyton Orient's Jack Moorhouse for his first competitive squad ahead of the upcoming European Championship away double-header against England and Andorra.

Moorhouse, born in Manchester, has made one appearance for the Boys in Green - against Scotland in a 2-0 friendly defeat last March - and has now had his international clearance completed and comes into consideration for Friday week's trip to St Andrews, Birmingham.

There are four players from the League Of Ireland called into Crawford's squad, with Tottenham-bound St Pat's star Mason Melia among them.

Goalkeeper Conor Walsh of Sligo Rovers also makes the 23-man squad alongside his clubmate Jed Hakiki and Waterford's Tommy Lonergan.

Ireland meet England in Birmingham next Friday, 14 November, with a 7.45 kick-off and then travel to take on Andorra on the Tuesday at the Estadi Nacional from 6.30pm.
