The Republic of Ireland will face France, Netherlands and Poland in their quest to qualify for the 2027 World Cup in Brazil.
Carla Ward's side were seeded in Pot 4 of the League A qualifying route and will be relatively pleased with the draw which took place in Nyon, Switzerland.
Ireland went into the draw knowing that they have already secured a play-off place, at worst, for the tournament in Brazil thanks to their Nations League play-off victory over Belgium.
While the draw could have possibly been kinder, Ward will be pleased to have avoided group A3, which features Spain, England, Iceland and Ukraine and looks to be the most competitive group of the four.
France are the top seeded team in Ireland's section and the Irish boss will be encouraged by their recent fixtures during the Euro 2025 qualifying campaign where they narrowly lost 1-0 away from home before beating the French 3-1 at Páirc Uí Chaoimh.
Ireland's haven't played the Netherlands in recent times, with the last game between the two sides coming back in 2017 where they drew 0-0 in the World Cup qualifying campaign.
The last clash between Ireland and Poland came in the 2022 Pinitar Cup, with the Irish running out 2-0 winners, thanks to two goals from Lucy Quinn.
Ireland's six qualifying matches will take place in windows across March, April and June next year.
Elsewhere in League B, Wales will be happy with their draw after they were drawn to face Czechia, Albania and Montenegro, while Northern Ireland have a tricky route to navigate as they're up against Switzerland, Turkey and Malta.
Scotland will be relatively pleased with their group. They face Belgium and Luxembourg, along with Israel, which could present some organisation issues for the Scottish FA.
