Cobh Ramblers have appoointed Fran Rockett as their new head coach.
Rockett is no stranger to St Colman's Park, having previously been involved with the club in a variety of coaching capacities including assistant manager.
The Tramore man was also interim manager at Waterford FC as well as number two at his home club.
Ramblers missed out on promotion this year by being pipped by Dundalk in the First Division title race.
Mick McDermott then made a shock exit before the play-offs, which saw Richie Holland place in temporary charge.
They were surprisingly defeated by Treaty United over two legs, despite Cobh finishing 21 points ahead of the Limerick side in the table.
In a statement, the club said Rockett's familiarity with their "culture and ambitions makes him an ideal fit as Cobh Ramblers continue to build a sustainable and competitive football model both on and off the pitch."
Ilya Movshovich of Digital Athlete Ventures, the club's owners, said: "We are thrilled to welcome Fran back to Cobh Ramblers. His knowledge, experience, and passion for the club make him the right person to lead our senior team forward.
"We believe Fran is an excellent fit for where we are headed as a club — focused on building strong foundations, developing players, and achieving long-term success."
Cobh Ramblers director of football, Conor Meade, added: "I’m delighted to announce Fran as head coach. He eats, sleeps, and breathes football and will represent the club with energy and honesty. It’s an exciting appointment, and we as a club will do all we can to help him."
