The recognition for Kelly Brady's performances with Athlone Town continues to flow in after she was named as the SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division Player of the Month for October 2025.
The 23-year-old previously won the award in April and becomes just the 11th player to claim the award twice following an outstanding debut season that saw her win the SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division title and the Sports Direct Women’s FAI Cup.
Brady finished the season as the Golden Boot winner with 19 league goals and also topped the scoring charts in the Sports Direct Women’s FAI Cup with five goals – courtesy of a hat-trick in the final win over Bohemians.
The athletic forward has been nominated for the SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division Player of the Year Award – the winner of which will be announced at a ceremony on 14 November – but she received a different type of award this week by being invited in to train with the Republic of Ireland senior side.
The former Ireland Under-19 international was surprised after training on Wednesday afternoon with the news of winning the monthly honour.
