Robbie Keane's Ferencvaros were indebted to a stoppage-time goal by Aleksandar Pesic to earn a point at home to Viktoria Plzen after a 1-1 draw in the Europa League on Thursday night.

Rafiu Durosinmi put the visitors ahead with a terrific finish in the 16th minute.

Ferencvaros' task became harder when full-back Cebrails Makreckis got this marching orders after a second yellow seven minutes before the break.

However Keane's side - which included Republic of Ireland international Callum O'Dowda - kept plugging away and were rewarded at the death when Pesic nodded home the leveller.

Aston Villa claimed a first win of the season with a 1-0 victory over Bologna, but Panathinaikos are top of the league phase after matchday one following a 4-1 thrashing of Young Boys in Switzerland. Anass Zaroury was the hero with a hat-trick.

The pressure increased on under-fire Rangers boss Russell Martin after they slipped to a 1-0 loss at home to Genk.

Even though Jack Butland saved Oh Hyeon-gyu's first-half spot-kick after Mohamed Diomande was sent off, Hyeon-gyu's goal on the hour mark proved the difference.

There were 2-1 wins for Lille and Stuttgart at home to Brann and Celta Vigo respectively.

Meanwhile, FCSB and Lyon clinched 1-0 victories away to Go Ahead Eagles and Utrecht.

Porto got the better of hosts Salzburg with William Gomes able to score the only goal of the match in the second minute of stoppage-time.

Robert Lewandowski's 70th-minute header helped Barcelona overturn a first-half deficit at Real Oviedo to claim a 3-1 victory in La Liga.

Alberto Reina's long-range effort 12 minutes before half-time had newly promoted Oviedo on course for a landmark win in Asturias.

Hansi Flick watched Barca stage an impressive fightback in the second period, though, as Eric Garcia bundled home after 56 minutes before substitute Lewandowski produced a fine towering header. Ronaldo Arauji wrapped up the scoring two minutes from time. Barcelona are two points off leaders Real Madrid.

Elsewhere Osasuna were held to a 1-1 draw by Elche.
