Bohemians maintained the weekend momentum of reaching a first-ever FAI Cup final by taking all three points in a 3-1 SSE Airtricity Women's Premier Division victory over Wexford at Ferrycarrig Park.
Just three days after defeating Treaty United to book a place in the cup decider against Athlone Town at Tallaght Stadium, the Gypsies returned to league action and exacted some revenge for their penalty shootout All-Island cup final loss to the hosts just a fortnight ago.
Goals from Hannah O'Brien, Leiagh Glennon and Katie Malone ensured the spoils went to the team from the capital, with goal-machine Ellen Molloy on target for Wexford.
After some early possession for Wexford, it was the visitors that struck first when O'Brien broke clear of the defence in the 17th minute before coolly finding the bottom corner.
It appeared that Bohs would take a slender lead into the dressing room, but on the stroke of half-time Wexford hit back. Molloy was fouled inside the area and the striker dusted herself down for her ninth league goal of the campaign in stoppage time.
It was Bohs who pressed for the second goal and it duly arrived shortly after the hour mark, Glennon getting on the end of Katie Lovely's cross to retake the lead.
The points were wrapped up when substitute Malone, Bohs’ top scorer in 2024, found the back of the net with her first touch of the game.
