Matt Doherty has been left out of the Ireland side for this evening's World Cup qualifier against Armenia in Yerevan.
The Wolves man played on the left side of the back four in the 2-2 draw with Hungary on Saturday, however, he will start tonight's game on the bench.
Ryan Manning looks set to slot into the left-back position, having played further up the pitch in the opening game, while the rest of the back four remains the same with captain Nathan Collins marshalling from the centre, alongside Dara O'Shea, with Jake O'Brien at right back.
Chiedozie Ogbene and Jack Taylor have been handed starts for the must-win clash against the lowest ranked side in Group F, while Sammie Szmodics did not travel after picking up an injury on Saturday.
Josh Cullen and Jason Knight will again run the midfield, while Finn Azaz and Taylor look set to support front man Evan Ferguson.
Hallgrimsson's formations, of course, tend to be fluid when in and out of possession, and can easily work as a three-man defence to allow Manning to attack up the left with Ogbene on the right.
