Manchester City have confirmed the signing of Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma from Paris St Germain, with Ederson ending his eight-year stint at the club with a move to Fenerbahce.
The 26-year-old has been on the lookout for the right move after his omission from PSG's Super Cup squad made it clear to him he was no longer their first-choice goalkeeper.
Donnarumma has signed for an undisclosed fee, understood to be in the region of €35million, and City confirmed he had signed a five-year contract.
Donnarumma, who will wear the number 99 shirt at City, was part of the PSG team which won the Champions League last season, and was in goal for Italy when they won Euro 2020.
"To have signed for Manchester City is such a special and proud moment for me.
"I am joining a squad packed with world-class talent and a team led by the one of the greatest managers in the history of football in Pep Guardiola. This is a club every player in world football would love to join.
"I have admired watching Manchester City for many years - so to now be able to play for the club is a huge honour and a privilege. I cannot wait to meet my new team-mates, the staff and the fans.
"Playing at the Etihad Stadium will be very, very special for me. I am very excited for what lies ahead and can promise that I will give absolutely everything to try and help the club achieve even more success."
Meanwhile, Ederson has completed a move to Turkish side Fenerbahce following eight "amazing" years at City.
The 31-year-old goalkeeper leaves the Etihad Stadium having helped the club to 18 major honours during his time at the club, including six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, four League Cups and a Champions League.
The Brazilian also won the Golden Glove award three times.
Ederson told the club's website: "I leave incredibly proud of what we have achieved together, and I am honoured to have worn the shirt so many times.
"Under (head coach) Pep (Guardiola), we have dominated the Premier League and conquered Europe. It has been amazing.
"I arrived in Manchester eight years ago full of hope, but I could not have predicted such a beautiful time together.
"Playing for City has been the most special time of my life and I will always be a fan of this special club."
Meanwhile, City have reached agreement with Inter Milan for Switzerland defender Manuel Akanji on a loan deal with an option to buy, which becomes an obligation depending on certain conditions.
City full-back Issa Kabore completed a deadline-day loan move to Championship side Wrexham while Ilkay Gundogan has also left City for a second time, this time heading to Turkish giants Galatasaray.

Jadon Sancho and Rasmus Hojlund have left Manchester United on loan deals, to Aston Villa and Napoli respectively, while Old Trafford outcast Antony has finally sealed his return to Real Betis.
Ruben Amorim has spent the summer reshaping the squad in his image, with Marcus Rashford departing on loan to Barcelona and Alejandro Garnacho this weekend joining Chelsea for €46m (£40m). Today's departures mean Tyrell Malacia is the only member of the 'bomb squad' still at United.
Sancho, another player who has struggled at Old Trafford, has joined Unai Emery's side, having spent last season on loan at Chelsea where he helped the club win the UEFA Conference League.
The 25-year-old was not able to come to an agreement with Chelsea following the end of his loan spell, which meant to the west London club had to pay a £5m penalty, and he was also linked with a permanent move to Roma.
Sancho’s move to Villa means he follows in the footsteps of his former Manchester United team-mate Marcus Rashford who also made a temporary switch to Birmingham during the second half of last campaign.
The England international joined United for £73m (€84m) four years ago and went on to make 83 appearances for the club but his last outing came in August 2024 in the Community Shield, where he missed a penalty in the shootout defeat to Manchester City.
Sancho’s loan move to Aston Villa will be his third away from Old Trafford after he spent the last 18 months at Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea.
The winger still has one more year left to run on his contract in Manchester with the club option of a further year.

Hojlund joined from Atalanta two years ago for €74m (£64m) plus a potential €9m (£8m) in add-ons, but the striker only scored 14 goals in 62 Premier League appearances.
The 22-year-old has now joined Napoli on loan, with the Serie A champions confirming the deal includes "an obligation to buy".
That fee is believed to be €44m (£38m) and comes into effect if Antonio Conte's side qualify for the Champions League.

Hojlund and Sancho are followed out of United by Antony, who signed from Ajax in 2022 in an eye-watering deal worth an initial €95m (£82.1m) plus a potential €5m (£4.3m) in add-ons.
The club's second-most expensive signing of all-time has fallen well short of that lofty price tag, scoring 12 goals in 96 appearances and ending last season on loan at Betis.
The Brazil international shone for the Spanish side and, after protracted talks, has finally secured a permanent return to the club.
Antony has joined Betis for up to €25m (£21.6m) with United including a 50% sell-on clause into the deal. United are not believed to have paid a settlement fee to the player.
On a busy day at Old Trafford, the Red Devils struck a deal with Antwerp to sign highly-rated goalkeeper Senne Lammens on a five-year deal.
A variety of options were considered, including Aston Villa's Emiliano Martinez, before a €21m plus add-ons deadline-day deal for Lammens (below) was finalised.
"I am extremely proud to be joining Manchester United, it is a real dream come true," the 23-year-old said after signing a deal until 2030 at Old Trafford.
"The past few years have been an amazing journey, it's now ended in an incredible destination and hopefully the beginning of something special.
"You can feel the positive atmosphere that is being created here and I know that I can make a real impact at the club in the coming years. I cannot wait to get to know my team-mates and begin working with Ruben and the coaching staff."
Quite what the move means for Andre Onana and Altay Bayindir remains to be seen.
Bayindir has started United’s opening three Premier League matches and endured some shaky moments. The Turkey international has been linked with a move back to his homeland.
Onana joined United from Inter Milan in 2023 for an initial €51m and endured a nightmare evening in last week’s Carabao Cup exit to League Two side Grimsby.
Defender Victor Lindelof has also joined Aston Villa on a free transfer after leaving Manchester United in the summer.
The Sweden international captain, who has been capped 71 times by his country, joins the club following his departure from Manchester United at the end of last season.
Villa also announced highly-rated Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott will join them on loan for the rest of the season with "an obligation to buy conditional on appearances".
Elliott featured 18 times during the Reds' Premier League title campaign last season but 16 of those appearances were as a substitute and he admitted in June he was considering his Merseyside future.

Nicolas Jackson's prolonged Chelsea exit has finally been resolved after the club agreed a season-long loan deal with Bayern Munich.
The 24-year-old moves on an initial loan worth €16.5m with an obligation to buy for €81.5m (33% more than they paid for him) on a five-year contract if a certain number of appearances is reached.
The Blues confirmed the news at 10pm on Monday, adding in a short statement: "We thank Nico for his efforts throughout his time at Stamford Bridge and wish him well in Germany."
Jackson told Bayern's website: "I'm really happy to now be part of this great club. Bayern is one of the best clubs in the world.
"Everyone knows the names of the legends who've played here and knows that this club stands for the greatest success. I've got big goals and dreams here and will give my all to help Bayern win further titles."
It comes hours after the striker's agent insisted he would "fight with everything" to secure a move away from Stamford Bridge.
The fiasco over the Senegal international’s future had dragged on for more than 48 hours by the time an agreement for his departure was struck, with Jackson having defied Chelsea’s request that he fly back to London after the deal collapsed on Saturday to stay in Germany, before being permission to sit a medical and to finalise details of the move.
Chelsea initially pulled the plug on the deal hours after striker Liam Delap suffered a hamstring injury during Saturday’s win over Fulham that is set to keep him our for six to eight weeks.
Marc Guiu was recalled on Monday from a loan spell with Sunderland to provide cover. The club also previously made contact with Sporting Lisbon before the window closed over a late deal for 20-year-old striker Conrad Harder.
Head coach Enzo Maresca had gone from having four strikers available to just one following Delap’s injury and the departure of Christopher Nkunku to AC Milan on Saturday.
It leaves summer-signing Joao Pedro as Chelsea’s only fit number nine when the Premier League resumes after the international break.
The club also confirmed that Brighton winger Facundo Buonanotte has joined on loan for the season.
The 20-year-old spent last season on loan at Leicester, scoring five goals in 31 Premier League appearances as the Foxes were relegated.
Meanwhile, Ben Chilwell (above right) has joined French club Strasbourg on a two-year deal, after spending 12 months frozen out by Maresca.
The England international has played only once for the club since the start of last season, as a second-half substitute in a Carabao Cup win against Barrow, and has not been training with the first-team squad.
He spent the second half of last season on loan at Crystal Palace but the 28-year-old has now brought to an end his five-year stay at Stamford Bridge in order to join the Ligue 1 side, who are under the ownership of Chelsea owners BlueCo.
A £50m (€58m) signing from Leicester in 2020, he last played for England in March 2024 in a friendly against Belgium at Wembley.
Tottenham have signed striker Randal Kolo Muani (above) on a one-year loan deal from European champions Paris Saint-Germain.
Muani was linked with a move to Spurs in January, but eventually joined Juventus and scored 10 times in 22 appearances for the Serie A club.
Juventus had hoped to bring France international Kolo Muani back to Turin. However, with no agreement reached with PSG, it sparked a deadline-day flurry of interest in the 26-year-old and he is expected to complete a straight loan to Tottenham later today.
The versatile forward will provide excellent cover for new Spurs boss Thomas Frank in wide attacking areas and in his favoured central striker position ahead of the club's return to the Champions League this month.
Frank had played down the prospect of Spurs signing another forward after Saturday's 1-0 loss at home to Bournemouth, but the chance to bring in a player of the quality of Kolo Muani was too good to turn down.
Kolo Muani has nine goals in 31 appearances for France and started his career at Nantes before a productive spell at Eintracht Frankfurt during the 2022-23 campaign.
PSG signed Kolo Muani for a €75m fee after his solitary season in Germany and after time in Italy last season, the forward will now add the Premier League to the list of leagues he has played in.
