Coming from behind to beat Santa Clara in the first leg of their UEFA Conference League play-off, Shamrock Rovers manager Stephen Bradley was quick to heap praise on his side, just days after another sweet victory where his son Josh given the all-clear following prolonged treatment for cancer.
Bradley described it as "the best news" after Josh got to ring the bell in Crumlin hospital to signal the end of his cancer treatment.
And then on Thursday evening in the Azores, the Hoops boss masterminded a 2-1 victory against more fancied opposition, an outcome that edges the Premier Division leaders a step closer to a successive appearance in the league phase of the Conference.
Speaking to Shamrock Rovers media afterwards, Bradley summed up the last few days, when saying: "These wins don't come around too often especially against this level of opposition and it caps off the best week of my life to be honest in terms of the news we got with Josh."
The manager spoke about the importance in savouring such wins against a backdrop of not knowing what life can throw at you.
"You come here and give the fans a victory and it doesn't get any better than that," he added.
"If I've learned anything throughout the journey is that you have to enjoy these moments because you don't know what's around the corner. This is a moment tonight we'll definitely enjoy as a group."
Somewhat against the run of play, the Hoops fell behind after 20 minutes but responded with goals from Danny Grant and Danny Mandroiu to give themselves an advantage ahead of the return leg at Tallaght Stadium next Thursday.

Bradley felt his side were fully deserving of the victory, stating that "the players were outstanding from the first minute to the last".
How his troops imposed themselves on the game was also noted.
"They showed incredible bravery and courage to play our way, our style, and in and out of possession were very, very good. We deserved to win the game. When you come and bring your personality and identity like they did tonight, you deserve to get your rewards and we got that.
"We knew we couldn't give them the ball back cheaply because they have good technical players, quick players. Our lads had the bravery and courage, once they crossed the white line to implement that, and we did it to a tee tonight.
"We moved the ball when we need to move it; our all-round game was very, very good."
The two Dannys combined with telling effect for Rovers' opening goal, with Bradley commenting that "the whole build up to it was brilliant". As for Danny Mandriou's winner, it was the technique that caught the manager's eye.
"Danny slowing but surely is finding the form we all know he has. When he's in the box like that he is so dangerous, is so quick and can finish off both feet. The finish was nice and calm, he didn't slash it, just opened his body and puts it in the far corner."
