Shamrock Rovers will play Gibraltarian side St Joseph's in the second round of the UEFA Conference League after Cliftonville fell short in their bid to set up a second all-Irish clash in Europe this year.
The Reds were level at 2-2 going into the home leg at Solitude but fell to a 3-2 defeat after extra-time to lose 5-4 on aggregate.
Odhran Casey saw red on 61 minutes for the home side, with Hugo Jesslen bagging a winner in the second of the additional 30 minutes.
Joseph’s took on Shels last year and were beaten 3-2 on aggregate in the first round.
The Hoops will be away from home in the first leg on 24 July, with the return in Tallaght Stadium on 31 July.
St Patrick's Athletic will take on Estonian outfit Nomme Kalju. They also caused something of an upset to beat Partizani of Albania and progress to the second round.
