Tottenham have announced the signing of Ghana forward Mohammed Kudus from West Ham and look set to close in on a £60million deal for Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White.

Spurs are rebuilding under Thomas Frank and agreed what is understood to be a £55million deal for Kudus.

The 24-year-old leaves the Irons having made 80 appearances and scored 19 goals during a two-year spell after joining from Ajax.

A statement on the club website read: "We are delighted to announce the signing of Mohammed Kudus from West Ham, subject to work permit.

"The Ghana international has agreed a long-term contract and will wear the number 20 shirt."

Nottingham Forest midfielder Gibbs-White is, meanwhile, set to have a medical at Tottenham ahead of a proposed £60m transfer.

Spurs have met the England international's release clause and a deal is accelerating at pace.

Gibbs-White joined Forest for £25m in the summer of 2022 following their promotion to the Premier League and was instrumental in delivering European football to Forest for the first time since 1996, with seven goals and eight assists in 34 Premier League games.

He was on Manchester City's radar earlier this summer but north London now appears to be his next destination.

Forest's late collapse in their pursuit of Champions League football has proved costly as Gibbs-White will now swap the Conference League for Europe's premier competition.

Losing Gibbs-White, who has won four caps for England, is another blow to Forest, who are also set to sell Anthony Elanga to Newcastle.

Arsenal unveil new signing Christian Norgaard

Arsenal have completed the signing of midfielder Christian Norgaard from Brentford.

The Denmark international, 31, has signed a contract with the Gunners which could run until 2028.

Norgaard's initial expected £10m move to the Emirates Stadium also has the potential for £5m worth of performance-related add-ons.

Norgaard leaves the Bees having made almost 200 appearances since since signing from Fiorentina six years ago, going on to help Thomas Frank's side win promotion to the Premier League in 2021.

It's a blow to Irishman Keith Andrews, who has replaced Frank in the hot seat at Brentford. Frank has moved on to Tottenham Hotspur.

Arsenal – who finished runners-up in the Premier League again last season for the third year in a row – have already strengthened the squad this summer with the signing of Spain midfielder Martin Zubimendi and goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, who joined from Chelsea.

Republic of Ireland defender Chloe Mustaki has joined Nottingham Forest.

Mustaki's contract at Bristol City expired this month, bringing to an end her three-year spell at the Robins.

She heads to an ambitious Forest outfit, who won the Premier League North title last season to gain promotion to the Championship. Mustaki has penned a two-year deal.

Jordan Henderson (above) has left Ajax after the club agreed to terminate his contract.

The England midfielder, 35, had a year to run on his deal with the Eredivisie runners-up.

But a club statement read: "Jordan Henderson is leaving Ajax. The club has cooperated with the player's request to terminate the current employment contract.

"The Englishman’s contract with Ajax ran until June 30, 2026, but now ends immediately."

Ajax were nine points clear at the top of the league table with five matches remaining of last season but took only two points from their next four games, allowing rivals PSV Eindhoven to overhaul them at the summit.

Henderson told the club’s website: "To play for this club was an honour in itself. To have the privilege of captaining it was even more so.

"My only regret is that we didn’t deliver more success for the amazing supporters. They deserve to be celebrating major titles again, and I’m sure that time will come soon.

"My family and I were made to feel so welcome, not just by the club but also in the wonderful city of Amsterdam. We will always be grateful for that.

"Due to the tragic events of last week and the devastating loss of my former team-mate Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva, it doesn’t feel right at this moment to say or do more than share this brief statement.

"However, I am fully aware that I owe this club, my team-mates and the supporters a fuller and more personal thank you. I will, of course, do that when the time feels more appropriate."
