The draws for 2025 Sports Direct Men's FAI Cup second round and women's first round will take place in Dublin today.

The 20 League of Ireland men's teams will enter the competition at this stage, as well as 12 non-league sides.

Drogheda United are defending the trophy they won by beating Derry City last November.

The matches will take place from 18-20 July.

Television coverage on RTÉ will begin in the third round of the men's competition, followed by two quarter-finals, both semi-finals, and the final at Aviva Stadium, which will take place on Sunday, 9 November.

In the women's draw, non-league outfits Ferns United, Newbridge Town, Terenure Rangers and Whitehall Rangers join the 12 Premier Division sides.

Waterford FC will be competing in the FAI Cup for the first time.

Shelbourne defeated Athlone Town in the final last year.

First round ties will take place on the final weekend of this month.

The draws begin from 1pm on the FAI's YouTube channel.
