Bayern Munich edged closer to clinching the Bundesliga title as they beat Mainz 3-0.

Goals from Leroy Sane, Michael Olise and Eric Dier secured a comfortable victory for the leaders.

Thomas Muller, who is leaving the club in the summer, came on towards the end to make his 500th Bundesliga appearance.

Bayern still need one more win to take the title back to Munich after champions Bayer Leverkusen made them wait with a 2-0 win over Augsburg.

Holstein Kiel climbed off the foot of the table with a last-gasp 4-3 win over Borussia Monchengladbach.

Shuto Machino and Alexander Bernhardsson put them 2-0 up but Tomas Cvancara and Alassane Plea hauled the visitors level.

Armin Gigovic fired Kiel back in front, Franck Honorat equalised again four minutes from full-time but Machino won it in stoppage time.

Max Rosenfelder gave Freiburg a 1-0 win at 10-man Wolfsburg, who had Maximilian Arnold sent off after just 26 minutes.

In Ligue 1, second-placed Monaco were held to a 1-1 draw at lowly Le Havre, with Mika Biereth earning them a point after Koka put the hosts ahead.

Goals from Diego Moreira, Emanuel Emegha and Dilane Bakwa gave Strasbourg a 3-1 win over St Etienne, for whom Zuriko Davitashvili replied.
