FAI grassroots director Ger McDermott joins Raf Diallo to share an insight into the planning and implentation of the Football Pathways Plan which was initially unveiled last February.
He also addresses the significant concerns that exist about one of the key aspects of the plan, which is the aligned calendar voted through by the FAI General Assembly in December.
During the podcast, McDermott also responds to specific points raised by Carlow & District Football League secretary Brian O'Reilly who has also spoken to Raf about the major issues he and other stakeholders have with the calendar alignment and the potentially detrimental impact that a move to a "summer football" schedule could have on soccer in Carlow and other areas of the country.
