Jadon Sancho's stunning late goal capped a second-half fightback as Chelsea recovered from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Ipswich at Stamford Bridge.

Enzo Maresca was facing surely the worst defeat of his tenure when Julio Enciso's tap-in and Ben Johnson's header put struggling Ipswich in sight of a famous win that would have kept alive their faint hopes of avoiding relegation from the Premier League.

Chelsea hit back and reduced the arrears in the first minute after half-time, Marc Cucurella's presence at the near post forcing an own goal from Axel Tuanzebe, before Sancho sent relief around the ground by curling in his first goal since December.

The Blues will still see the result as two points dropped in the race for Champions League qualification, however.

Wolves opened up a 14-point gap to 18th-placed Ipswich with a 4-2 home victory over Tottenham, heaping more misery on Ange Postecoglou and his team.

Rayan Ait-Nouri struck after only two minutes before Djed Spence's own goal seven minutes before half-time left the visitors with an uphill battle at Molineux.

Mathys Tel pulled one back for Spurs, only for Jorgen Strand Larsen to swiftly make it 3-1, and then Richarlison's consolation was quickly followed by a fine individual effort from the available again Matheus Cunha to secure a triumph which moved Wolves up to 16th.

Spurs are one place higher after a 17th league loss of the campaign, days out from a make-or-break Europa League quarter-final second leg at Eintracht Frankfurt.
