Shelbourne have issued a warning over "fake tickets" being offered for sale for Friday's sold-out Dublin Derby against Bohemian FC at Tolka Park.

Tickets for the game have not been available for over 10 days, with the 5,200 capacity at Tolka Park meaning demand is much greater than supply for the fixture between the Dublin rivals.

Last week four of the five Premier Division matches were sold out, with the only home tickets available at the Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium as Derry City opened their new North Stand for the first time.

Shels released a statement this morning warning supporters not to heed any offers for tickets for the clash with Bohs.

The Reds said: "We urge all fans to exercise caution when approached by unofficial sellers online.

"Shelbourne FC will never ask supporters for their bank details or other sensitive information via social media.

"We'd advise supporters not to purchase tickets from individuals they do not personally know or trust. Never pay above the face value for tickets. The only legitimate sources for ticket sales are the club’s official website.

"This fixture is fully sold out, and no additional tickets will be offered for sale, we understand demand is high. However, supporter safety offline and online remain our top priorities, and we will continue to monitor reports of this activity.

"We thank all supporters for their continued backing and look forward to a big night at Tolka Park on Friday."
