Burnley took advantage of Sheffield United and Leeds dropping points with a 2-1 win at Coventry to move top of the Championship table.

Frank Lampard's side took the lead after five-minutes through Haji Wright but Jaidon Anthony scored twice for the visitors to secure victory.

Leeds’ 1-1 draw at Luton means Daniel Farke’s men have taken just seven points from their last six games as their slide in form continues.

Isaiah Jones’ volley put Luton ahead, but winger Daniel James struck with a fine effort to share the spoils at Kenilworth Road.

Sheffield United relinquished top spot with a 1-0 loss at Oxford – their first defeat since February.

Siriki Dembele’s goal in the 38th-minute moved Oxford four points clear of the drop as the Blades’ promotion bid was dented.

Sunderland’s automatic hopes remain alive with a 1-0 win over West Brom.

Regis Le Bris’s men won courtesy of Trai Hume’s goal as they continue their hopes for a return to the Premier League.

Bristol City leapfrogged Coventry to enter play-off contention with a 2-1 win over Watford at Ashton Gate.

Ross McCrorie struck first in the 24th-minute before Nakhi Wells netted his ninth of the season in the 29th, with Mamadou Doumbia scoring an 80th-minute consolation.

Leeds' dip in form continued at Luton

Mihailo Ivanovic netted an 87th-minute winner as his brace helped Millwall to a 2-1 win over Portsmouth at the Den.

After Ivanovic grabbed his first just before the hour mark, Pompey’s Andre Dozzell thought he had secured a point for the newly-promoted strugglers in the 80th-minute.

However, Serbian forward Ivanovic nodded in his second three minutes from time to put Alex Neil’s men six points off sixth with six matches remaining.

Ryan Hardie’s double saw rock-bottom Plymouth continue their upturn in form with an important 2-1 win over Norwich.

Lewis Baker’s late penalty helped Stoke to a 1-1 draw at Preston.

Kaine Kesler-Hayden’s tap-in was cancelled out by Baker with the Potters dropping down to 20th despite the point.

Charlie Hughes’ stoppage-time winner gave Hull a 1-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday in their bid for survival.

Eom Ji-Sung’s 79th-minute strike saw Swansea beat Derby 1-0 while QPR and Cardiff’s encounter was goalless.
