Derry City showed great determination to come from behind to see off Cork City, at the Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium.
Trailing 1-0 at the break after Kitt Nelson had headed home, two second half goals from Ronan Boyce and Michael Duffy sealed the points for Tiernan Lynch's side.
The Foylesiders boss wanted their new North Stand to be like Liverpool's Kop end and 'suck the ball into the net' if things weren't going according to plan and Boyce and Duffy duly obliged and fired home in front of the stand.
A neat passing move by the visitors on 14 minutes resulted in the opening goal as Bernardo Couto's left wing cross catching out Derry goalkeeper Brian Maher and Kitt Nelson gleefully headed home into the empty net.
The home side went close to levelling things soon after when Ben Doherty's left wing cross found Kevin Holt at the back post, but the big defender's powerful header was kept out by Cork net-minder Tein Troost.
Troost had to make another big save on 23 minutes this time the Dutch keeper booted away Sean Patton's close range strike, after the striker found space inside the six yard box.

The Rebel Army should have had a penalty on 40 minutes when Adam O'Reilly stupidly bundled Rio Shipston inside the box, but referee Aaron O'Dowd amazingly played on.
Just before the break Derry were inches away from equalising but Holt's powerful left footed strike from 20 yards, which had Troost beaten, whistled just past the right hand post.
Cork had a half chance on 58 minutes but centre-back Milan Mbeng's close range header flew over the bar, after Couto's inswinging left wing corner had picked out the defender. Maher had to make a good save minutes later as Couto's free-kick from the edge of the box was tipped over by the Derry shot-stopper.
The Brandywell men should have equalised on 63 minutes as substitute Dom Thomas and Gavin Whyte combined before the ex-Portsmouth man found an unmarked Adam O'Reilly, but from 10 yards the midfielder somehow fired wide with the goal at his mercy.

With their tails up Derry did equalise on 65 minutes as Liam Boyce's header back into the six yard box was turned into the net by Ronan Boyce, whose close range overhead kick gave Troost no chance. Derry went in front on 74 minutes as Thomas found Michael Duffy down the left, he skipped away from Darragh Crowley, before blasting home past Troost, in front of the new North Stand.
Soon after Thomas, who looked very lively during his cameo role, went close but his angled drive was gathered at the second attempt by a diving Troost.
In the closing stages Liam Boyce drew a save from Troost, but the big keeper easily kept the 20 yard effort out.
Right at the death Tim Clancy's side suffered a major injury blow as striker Ruairi Keating had to be stretchered off after falling awkwardly on the half-way line.
