Wexford have had to forfeit their opening night win over UCD in the SSE Airtricity Men's First Division, while the result of Kerry and Finn Harps' fixture on the same night has also been annulled after all three clubs were found to have fielded ineligible players.

Wexford, who are managed by former Republic of Ireland striker Stephen Elliott, earned a 3-0 win over the Students at the UCD Bowl on 14 February.

But that result will now be reversed because Wexford fielded Darragh Dunne, who was ineligible for the fixture.

An Independent Disciplinary Committee has ruled that a 3-0 win will now be awarded to UCD.

Meanwhile, both Kerry and Finn Harps each fielded an ineligible player - Stevan Stanic-Floody and Gavin Hodgins respectively - in their opening night meeting in Tralee which had ended 2-0 in Kerry's favour.

Per the FAI Disciplinary Regulations, the result has been voided with neither side receiving any points from the game.

All the decisions made by the disciplinary committee are subject to appeal.
