The Republic of Ireland will play Senegal for the first time on Friday 6 June at the Aviva Stadium, before heading to Luxembourg for an away clash as part of the June international window in preparation for World Cup qualification, which begins in September.
The historic meeting between the two sides will kick off at 7.45pm.
Senegal are ranked 17th in the FIFA world rankings which will be updated on 3 April after the current international window closes. The Boys in Green are currently in 60th position.
Senegal, who were African Cup of Nations champions in 2021 and reached the round of 16 at the World Cup a year later, will become the first African nation to play at the Aviva Stadium.
They were held to a 0-0 draw against Sudan on Saturday and are third in their CAF World Cup qualifying group.
The last time Ireland hosted a team from the continent was back in 2010 when the Boys in Green ran out 3-0 victors against Algeria at the RDS Arena. Ireland hosted South Africa a year before in Thomond Park, winning 1-0 thanks to a Liam Lawrence free-kick.
Ireland will travel to Luxembourg for their final fixture before the start of FIFA 2026 World Cup qualifying in September when they host Hungary and then play Armenia away.
