Shamrock Rovers have announced the signing of versatile defender Seán Robertson.
The 23-year-old, who spent last season with Derry City, can play in a number of positions across the defence.
Robertson began his career with Crystal Palace Academy, playing for their U-23 side before joining Forest Green, where he also spent time on loan at Crewe.
He joined Derry City last August, making his debut against Shamrock Rovers. Robertson made a total of six league appearances – and scored against Drogheda United – and has now made the move to Tallaght Stadium.
"Seán is someone we looked at before he signed for Derry City," Rovers manager Stephen Bradley said.
"The good thing about Seán is he can play in any of the three centre back positions, or also the wing-back position. When you look at it now, it makes us really strong in those areas with Lee Grace, Pico Lopes, Dan Cleary, Adam Matthews, Josh Honohan, Victor Ozhianvuna, Danny Grant, Cory O'Sullivan and Trevor Clarke.
"It gives us lots of options, which we need. We demand a lot of the players in those positions as over the course of a season, it does take its toll on the body."
