Eiran Cashin has added to Brighton's Irish representation by signing with the Premier League club until June 2030 for an undisclosed fee.

The centre-half, who made his Republic of Ireland Under-21 debut in June 2022, joins Evan Ferguson and Killian Cahill at the Amex for a reported €10.5m fee to bring his long association with Derby County to an end.

The 23-year-old was named in the PFA League One Team of the Year last term as the Rams returned to the second tier and has made 21 appearances for Derby this season in the Championship.

"He’s gained a lot of experience in the Championship, has a good profile and as a left-sided defender he will give us another strong defensive option," Brighton head coach Fabian Hurzeler told the club’s website.

"We’re looking forward to working with Eiran and watching him develop with us."

The signing comes as Brighton try to bolster their threadbare central defensive options with Igor Julio ruled out for a number of months with Lewis Dunk also missing a number of matches through injury.

Manchester United have completed the signing of England youth international Ayden Heaven from Arsenal.

The 18-year-old has signed a deal until 2029, with the option of a further year, after the clubs reached an undisclosed compensation agreement.

Heaven made his first-team debut for Arsenal earlier in the season and United say he will be "immediately" linking up with Ruben Amorim's "first-team squad".
