Manchester City have completed the signing of Egypt forward Omar Marmoush from Eintracht Frankfurt, while captain Kyle Walker is set to join AC Milan on loan for the remainder of the season.

Marmoush (25) has signed a four-and-a-half-year contract with the champions after moving in a deal understood to be worth £59.1 million (€69.9m) plus a potential further £4.2 million (€4.97m) in add-ons.

Marmoush is City's third signing of the January transfer window following the arrivals of defenders Abdukodir Khusanov and Vitor Reis earlier this week.

Marmoush said: "This is a day I will never forget. To sign for Manchester City - one of the best teams in the world - is an amazing feeling.

"I am delighted, my family are so proud, and we are all very happy to be here in Manchester."

Marmoush, who can play in a variety of attacking positions, has scored 37 goals in 67 games since joining Frankfurt in the summer of 2023.

He began his career with Wadi Degla in the Egyptian Premier League before moving to Germany with Wolfsburg in 2020 and then having spells with St Pauli and Stuttgart.

He has been capped 35 times by Egypt and scored six goals for his country.

His arrival at the Etihad Stadium comes as the club try to rebuild amid what has been a frustrating campaign.

City, champions for the past four seasons, are currently fifth in the Premier League, 12 points behind leaders Liverpool having played a game more.

Defeat at Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday has also left Pep Guardiola's side in danger of missing out on the Champions League knockout stages.

Marmoush said: "With Pep, his technical staff and the world-class facilities here, players have everything they need to become better. That was really enticing for me when I had the chance to come here.

"And I cannot deny I also want to win trophies. City have been the most successful club in England for many, many years, so I know I am joining a winning environment and winning culture.

"I really am looking forward to getting going, meeting the other players and showing the Manchester City fans what I can do."

The fee takes City's spending this month to a basic £122.5 million (€144.8m).

City director of football Txiki Begiristain said: "Omar is an accomplished and exciting forward, and I'm delighted he's joining us.

"He has all the attributes a top-class attacker requires. I have no doubt that working with Pep and the technical staff here at City will see him further develop his superb attacking talent."

Kyle Walker's long and trophy-laden spell at City is coming to an end

Meanwhile, it is understood that City and AC Milan have reached agreement over a deal for Walker which will give the Italian side the option to buy the 34-year-old in the summer.

Walker will now travel to Italy to complete the formalities of the move.

The England right-back informed City of his wish to leave the club and seek opportunities abroad earlier this month.

Walker has endured a difficult campaign at City and has not started a game since their derby loss to Manchester United in the Premier League on 15 December.

He has been left out of their matchday squad altogether for their last four games.

Walker has helped City win 17 trophies, including six Premier League titles and the Champions League, since joining the club in a £45 million (€53.2m) switch from Tottenham in 2017.

He previously came close to leaving when Bayern Munich showed interest in the summer of 2023 but he opted to stay and sign a new contract with City, which runs until 2026.

Elsewhere, Aston Villa defender Diego Carlos has joined Fenerbahce in a reported £8.45 million (€10m) deal.

The 31-year-old made 58 appearances for the club after joining from Sevilla in 2022 but did not feature in their last five matchday squads as plans for a move began to take shape.

"Aston Villa Football Club would like to wish Diego good luck in his new professional chapter," said a statement from the club.

Carlos, who links up with Jose Mourinho in Istanbul, has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal.

"I am very happy to be here, I will do everything I can for this club," the player said after completing the move.

Ipswich have completed the loan signing of Julio Enciso from Brighton until the end of the season.

The 21-year-old Paraguay international, who has made 12 Premier League appearances for the Seagulls this season, joins Kieran McKenna's side as they continue their bid for survival.

Enciso could be in line to make his Ipswich debut when they travel to Liverpool on Saturday.

"I am so happy to be here," he told TownTV.

"The conversations with the manager have been good. I am very grateful to him and the club for believing in me. I can't wait to get going.

"I'm a real fighter and I will do my best in every game."

Juventus have signed France forward Randal Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain on loan until the end of the season.

The deal is for €1 million plus an additional amount up to €2.6 million, the Serie A club said in a statement.

Kolo Muani has been out of favour at PSG and struggled to get into Luis Enrique's side. He has made two league starts this season despite opening the campaign with two goals in the first three games, but is a regular in Didier Deschamps' France team.

The 26-year-old joined PSG from Eintracht Frankfurt in September 2023 for a reported fee of €90 million and has scored 11 goals in 54 games. In 27 appearances for France, Kolo Muani has netted eight goals.

Juventus are the only unbeaten side in Serie A but 13 draws in 21 games have left Thiago Motta's side fifth in the table and 13 points off leaders Napoli, whom they face on Saturday in Naples.
