The conclusion of the 2024 Premier Division title race reached a televised audience peak of over 400,000, becoming the most-watched moment in the history of the competition.
An average of 206,000 watched the game on RTÉ2 with record figures on RTÉ Player for League of Ireland.
That number does not include Shamrock Rovers v Waterford which was available to watch simultaneously on the RTÉ News channel.
The audience share of 19% is also considerable with the All-Star awards live on RTÉ One on a bumper Friday night of sport with RTÉ.
The previous highest peak was 199,000 for the deciding game of the 2014 season when Dundalk defeated Cork City. The average on that occasion was 181,000.
The final match of this year will be broadcast on Sunday as Derry City take on Drogheda United in the FAI Cup final.
