Shelbourne opened the gates of Tolka Park to their supporters this afternoon to celebrate a first SSE Airtricity Men's Premier Division title in 18 years.
Damien Duff's men dug out the victory they needed at Derry City last night to hold off Shamrock Rovers and seal the trophy.
Harry Wood's 85th-minute goal got them over the line, with a nerve-shredding, topsy-turvy run-in ultimately ending in glory for the Dublin club.
Shels travelled back to the capital last night and lifted the trophy in front of their own fans at Tolka today.
Speaking to RTÉ Sport Duff said the triumph was "dream come true stuff".
"Ideal world it would have been nice to win it here, not so far away up in Derry, but the travelling fans up there, and then the scenes that you saw here last night, absolutely iconic.
"I don't think they've been seen in the League of Ireland before. It was an amazing night for Shelbourne Football Club but even on a grander scale... anyone you speak to, it sounds like the whole country was watching the game last night."
Sean Gannon has now won 11 league titles with four different clubs - a remarkable achievement.
He said the team always believed they could do something special, driven by their own hunger and the standards set by the management.
"Probably people didn't have us in the conversation at the start of the season but once we came in first day of pre-season the goal, the demand actually, from the manager and the staff was that we're involved in a title race," he said.
"Since that day we've just been working hard at it."
