Athlone Town's Madison Gibson was voted as the SSE Airtricity Women's Premier Division player of the month for September.
The Athlone Town forward has been in superb form and scored a contender for gal of the season in the recent 3-3 draw with Shamrock Rovers.
With two games left to play in the season, Athlone remain in pole position in the title race and Gibson has played a major role in that.
Whether she has played out wide or further forward, the American has been hugely influential in their attacking play with her direct running, precise passing and clincial finishing.
Gibson has taken on a leadership role this term and has delivered when it has mattered most in big games, especially since The Midlanders lost the attacking trio of Casey Howe, Chloe Singleton and Kerryanne Brown.
With the league title race drawing to a climax and the Sports Direct Women’s FAI Cup final still to come, Gibson will be hoping that this monthly award is added to with some more accolades over the coming weeks.
She fended off competiton from club-mate Brenda Tabe and Shelbourne’s Kate Mooney to win the prize.
