Fulham have announced the signing of Sander Berge from Burnley on a five-year contract.

The midfielder joins the Cottagers for an initial £20m, with a further £5m in add-ons possible, after the sale of Joao Palhinha to Bayern Munich earlier in the transfer window.

The Norway international said: "It feels fantastic. It's been a little bit back and forth the last few weeks, but I’m finally sitting here in the shirt in this beautiful stadium, knowing that my future is here, which feels great.

"Fulham has always been a team that excited me. I’ve played them both in the Championship and Premier League, and it’s fantastic how they play, 4-3-3, 4-2-3-1."

Berge could be in contention to make his debut for Marco Silva’s side against Leicester in the Premier League on Saturday at Craven Cottage.

Jordan Ayew is set to join Leicester from Crystal Palace.

The Foxes have agreed a fee for the forward, who still needs to clear a medical before the move is finalised.

The deal is worth approximately £8m, including £3m in add-ons for the 32-year-old, whose agreement at Selhurst Park was set to expire at the end of this season.

The Ghana international has scored 23 goals in 212 appearances throughout his Palace career.
