Tottenham have completed the signing of forward Dominic Solanke from Bournemouth on a six-year deal.

Spurs have been on the hunt for attacking reinforcements all summer and after Solanke emerged as the club's preferred candidate, advanced talks began with the Cherries before an agreement was reached on Friday afternoon.

It is understood that the deal could eventually be worth £65m, with Tottenham spending an initial £55m and a further £10m included in the transfer as add-ons.

Bournemouth owner Bill Foley had confirmed earlier this summer that Solanke’s contract included a release clause in the region of £65m and his exit is a club-record sale, bettering the £40m they received for Nathan Ake from Manchester City in 2020.

If Solanke can be a success in north London, his move would surpass Spurs’ £63m record deal for Tanguy Ndombele in 2019.

Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou gave the green light for the club to pursue Solanke after the best season of his career.

Solanke scored 21 goals in all competitions for Bournemouth last term – including 19 in the Premier League – but also caught the eye with his pressing statistics and link-up play for Andoni Iraola’s side.

His transfer to Spurs will give Solanke another opportunity at a top-six club, after he progressed through Chelsea’s academy before he departed for Liverpool in 2017.

While chances were limited for Solanke at Anfield, he has been a key figure in keeping Bournemouth in the Premier League during the past two seasons but was eager to grasp what he views as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity in signing for Tottenham.

Fabio Carvalho scored three goals for Liverpool in 21 appearances in all competitions

Brentford have agreed a £27.5m deal to sign Liverpool's Fabio Carvalho.

The package includes a number of easily-achievable incentives and a 17.5% sell-on clause.

However, as part of the £5m deal which took the Portuguese to Anfield in 2022, Fulham are due 20% of the fee the Bees are paying.

Carvalho spent last season out on loan at first RB Leipzig and then Hull, scoring nine goals in 20 Championship games for the latter.

Leicester unveiled Facundo Buonanotte at their Seagrave Training Complex

Leicester have completed the loan signing of Facundo Buonanotte from Brighton.

The Seagulls revealed the 19-year-old attacking midfielder had signed a new four-year deal before confirming his season-long switch to the Foxes.

Buonanotte made 36 appearances for Brighton last season, scoring four times, and could feature for Steve Cooper’s side in their Premier League opener against Tottenham on 19 August.

West Ham have announced the signing of France defender Jean-Clair Todibo (above) from Nice on a season-long loan deal.

The Hammers have the option to make the move permanent next summer if he proves a success in East London.

Todibo, a 24-year-old centre-back who was born in French Guiana, has two caps and also made four appearances for Barcelona from 2019 to 2021.

Todibo is West Ham’s seventh signing of the summer following the recruitment of Max Kilman, Niclas Fullkrug, Guido Rodriguez, Crysencio Summerville, Luis Guilherme and Wes Foderingham.
