Aston Villa have completed the signing of Everton midfielder Amadou Onana.
The Belgium international has put pen to paper on a five-year contract after the two clubs agreed a fee, believed to be in the region of £50m, for the 22-year-old.
"The team played very attractive football last season with loads of goals and will now be playing in the Champions League," he said.
"We also have a manager that’s one of the best in the business and I think he can take my game to the next level."
Onana failed to make much of an impact at Goodison Park in a struggling team since his £35m arrival from Lille two years ago but, after featuring for his country at Euro 2024, Villa boss Unai Emery believes he will strengthen his squad as they prepare to play in the Champions League for the first time.
Douglas Luiz left for Juventus last month, freeing up money and space for Onana while keeping Villa within Premier League Profit and Sustainability Rules.
Villa have already signed Ross Barkley from Luton, Juventus pair Samuel Iling-Junior and Enzo Barrenechea, Sheffield United's Cameron Archer, Ian Maatsen from Chelsea, former winger Jaden Philogene from Hull, and Everton’s Lewis Dobbin.
Everton will also be grateful for the influx of cash for a player who endured a difficult final couple of months of the season and started only two of the last six games – the final two fixtures of the campaign when top-flight status had already been secured.
Chelsea have signed United States left-back Caleb Wiley on a six-year contract.
The 19-year-old joins the Blues from Major League Soccer side Atlanta United, with the fee reported to be £8.5million.
He has been part of Atlanta's first-team squad since 2022 and made his senior debut for the US national team against Mexico last October.
Wiley is currently in Paris, where he is part of the US squad for the Olympic Games football tournament. It is expected he could spend next season on loan at Strasbourg, who are part of the same Blueco ownership group as Chelsea.

Former England midfielder Gareth Barry has stepped out of retirement to sign for non-league club Hurstpierpoint FC.
The ex-Aston Villa, Manchester City and Everton player, 43, who holds the record for the most Premier League appearances, announced his retirement from professional football while at last club West Brom in 2020.
Hurstpierpoint revealed on X: "We are beyond delighted to announce that former England international and all-time Premier League record appearance holder, Gareth Barry, has signed for Hurstpierpoint Football Club."
The village club are in the second tier of the Mid Sussex Football League and are managed by Barry's friend Michael Standing.
Hurstpierpoint added: "His quality in training has been unreal, so we’re all very excited to see him pull on the shirt and grace the Fairfield turf later on this season. Welcome to Hurstpierpoint, Gareth."
Barry began his professional career at Villa in 1997 and had spells at City, Everton and West Brom, going on to make 653 Premier League appearances during a 22-year career.
He won 53 caps for England after making his debut in a friendly against Ukraine in 2000 and his last appearance for his country came against Norway in 2012.
Marseille have signed Tottenham midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg on loan for the season with an obligation to buy.
The Denmark international, who joined Spurs from Southampton in August 2020, leaves having made 143 Premier League appearances during his time in north London.
It's understood that Marseille, who will be managed next season by former Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi, will pay a fee that could rise to £16.8million.
In a statement Tottenham said: "Pierre's finest moment in a Spurs shirt came against the team he’s now joining, when he fired home a late winner in the Stade Velodrome to secure top spot in Group D of the UEFA Champions League in November, 2022.
"We wish Pierre all the best for the future."
He previously made 25 appearances for Bayern Munich, where aged 17 he became the youngest-ever player to represent the club in the Bundesliga when he made his debut in 2013, before moving to St Mary’s in 2016 having had spells on loan at Augsburg and Schalke.
Following rumours he was to leave Spurs ahead of the 2023-24 season, the 28-year-old had looked set to play a diminished role during the campaign until an injury crisis for head coach Ange Postecoglou led to him playing 39 times in all competitions.
He is one of a number of players to have departed the club this summer, among them Eric Dier who has joined Bayern permanently after a spell on loan and Ivan Perisic, who has returned to his native Croatia with Hajduk Split.
