Republic of Ireland defender John Egan is leaving Sheffield United after a six-year spell at Bramall Lane.
The Cork-born centre-back joined the Blades from Brentford in the summer of 2018 and was a key figure in their promotion to the Premier League at the end of his first season at the club.
Egan helped Sheffield United to a ninth-place finish in the Premier League in 2019/20 before relegation the following campaign.
The Yorkshire club went back up at the end of the 2022/23 season, with Egan then taking the captain's armband following the departure of Billy Sharp.
However, injury meant he was limited to just five Premier League appearances as the club were relegated again at the end of 2023/24.
"It's hard to put into words how special the last six years at Sheffield United have been for me, my family and friends," said the Cork native in a post on X.
"I have nothing but gratitude and respect for everyone I have come across at this great football club. Two promotions to the Premier League, an FA Cup semi-final and a top half finish in the Premier League are just some of the high points that stick out, which we all worked so hard to achieve."

Egan's international teammate Alan Browne has left Preston North End after spending over 10 years with the club, it has been confirmed.
In a statement, the EFL Championship club said that Browne had been offered a three-year extension to his contract but the Corkman has opted to bring his time at Deepdale to an end.
The 29-year-old joined Preston from Cork City as a teenager and went on to make over 400 appearances for the club, captaining them for the final four years of his stay.

England Under-21 international Samuel Iling-Junior and Argentinian midfielder Enzo Barrenechea have also joined Villa from Juventus.

Ben Johnson has ended his 17-year stay at West Ham to join Premier League new boys Ipswich.
Johnson, who joined the Hammers at the age of seven, has signed a four-year deal at Portman Road.

"He is a young and talented defender with good technical quality, as well as excellent physical attributes.
"Ben also has a good amount of Premier League experience for his age and he is hungry to take the next step in his career."
Johnson made 109 first-team appearances for West Ham, 69 of those coming in the Premier League.
Aston Villa have announced the double signing of Enzo Barrenechea and Samuel Iling-Junior from Juventus.
Barrenechea, 23, started his career in his native Argentina before moving to Europe with Swiss outfit Sion.
London-born defender Iling-Junior, 20, started his career in the Chelsea academy and has been capped by England at underage level.
Crystal Palace have signed Japan attacking midfielder Daichi Kamada and reunited him with manager Oliver Glasner.
The two-year deal, which is subject to international clearance, comes into force following the end of Kamada's contract at Serie A side Lazio.
Kamada, 27, previously played under Glasner at Eintracht Frankfurt, where he recorded 40 goals and 33 assists in 179 appearances.
"I’m excited to be joining Crystal Palace, and to be working with Oliver – who is a coach I know well – again," Kamada told the club website.
"I am looking forward to testing myself in the Premier League, and hopefully the club and I can achieve all of our objectives together."
Kamada becomes Palace’s second summer signing following the arrival of Morocco international Chadi Riad.
Newcastle have completed the permanent signing of England Under-21 defender Lewis Hall from Chelsea.
Hall, 19, spent last season on loan at St James’ Park and made 22 appearances, scoring two goals.
Newcastle head coach Eddie Howe said: "Lewis was a very good addition to our squad last season and we have been delighted with his progress and his contribution to the team.
"I’m very pleased to continue working with him. As well as being a talented player, he has a great attitude towards the game and to his own development and I’m excited for this next part of his journey in a Newcastle United shirt."
