Galway United boss John Caulfield has been given a further three-game touchline ban for two separate incidents during his team's recent SSE Airtricity Men's Premier Division clashes against Shelbourne and Sligo Rovers.
Caulfield was sent off towards then end of a 1-0 win against Shels on Friday 19 April, receiving a two-match ban that kicked in for the following Monday's visit to the Showgrounds and subsequent trip to face Shamrock Rovers, that ended in a 1-1 draw.
During the Sligo game, which ended goalless, Caulfield was seen to be in discussion with his assistant Ollie Horgan. That violated the terms of his suspension.
On Tuesday the FAI confirmed that Caulfield has been given a two-game ban for that violation plus another game on top of that for "offensive behaviour during the Shelbourne match". Caulfield confronted a referee's assessor following his dismissal at Eamonn Deacy Park.
It brings his overall suspension to five games, two of which have already been served.
Galway host Derry City on Friday, then take on Bohs at Dalymount Park three days later before heading to Tolka Park for another match against Shels.
Caulfield's men are currently fifth in the table.
