Omari Hutchinson scored twice but Hull came from behind three times to stop Ipswich moving into the Sky Bet Championship promotion places with a 3-3 draw at the MKM Stadium.

Ipswich started the day sitting a solitary point behind Leeds having played two games less, knowing a victory would put them in healthy position to move into the Premier League, and George Hirst fired the visitors in front in the 19th minute to give them a perfect start.

Hull capitalised on some slack defending to draw level through Ozan Tufan but Chelsea loanee Hutchinson curled in from outside the box to restore the lead.

Liam Delap equalised but Ipswich hit the front for a third time as Hutchinson was given space outside the box again and bent into the bottom corner – before Noah Ohio struck late on to deny Ipswich and keep Hull's own play-off hopes alive.

Huddersfield are all but relegated from the after they were unable to beat fellow strugglers Birmingham in a 1-1 draw at the John Smith's Stadium, while Republic of Ireland international Finn Azaz was among the scorers for Middlesbrough on Saturday.

Both Huddersfield and Birmingham occupied a place in the relegation zone before the match and things were made worse for the Terriers on the stroke of half-time as Keshi Anderson's cross was swept home by Koji Miyoshi at the back post.

Rhys Healey's equaliser appears not to have been enough to stop Huddersfield from heading back down to Sky Bet League One due to their inferior goal difference to 21st-placed Plymouth, while Birmingham are one point adrift of the Pilgrims and safety.

Sheffield Wednesday took a huge step towards sealing their Championship safety after goals from Anthony Musaba, Ike Ugbo and Josh Windass earned them a 3-0 victory over West Brom, who will need to book their place in the play-offs on the last day.

Wednesday had taken only three points from 11 games when Danny Rohl took charge at Hillsborough but a stunning turnaround in form looks to have ensured their second-tier status following their promotion last season.

Musaba's rebound gave the Owls the lead midway through the first half before Ugbo fired home five minutes after the break and Windass sealed the deal when he tapped in a rebound following Barry Bannan's effort from range, meaning they need just a point on the final day to guarantee they will play Championship football next season.

Plymouth were beaten 1-0 by Millwall at The Den.

The all-important moment came seven minutes from time when Jake Cooper nodded home from Ryan Leonard's cross to seal a fourth successive win for Neil Harris' men.

Stoke are safe from relegation thanks to Tyrese Campbell's first-half finish which earned the Potters a 1-0 victory over Southampton, who have to settle for a play-off place.

Blackburn are still not safe from the drop as they were held to a 0-0 draw despite having 30 shots against 10-man Coventry, who had defender Liam Kitching sent off.

Norwich booked their place in the play-offs after they drew 2-2 with Swansea.

The Canaries needed just a point to extend their season but Swansea took the lead courtesy of Jamie Paterson before Gabriel Sara levelled.

Sara was involved again when he set up Josh Sargent to nod in before the break but Matt Grimes' penalty eight minutes after the interval earned Swansea a point.

Middlesbrough ended their three-match winless run in style as they earned a crushing 4-1 victory over Cardiff thanks to goals from Matthew Clarke, Ireland's newly capped midfielder Azaz, Alex Gilbert and Emmanuel Latte Lath's 15th of the season.

Rotherham's miserable away campaign in the Championship finished with a 2-0 defeat by Bristol City, leaving them winless on the road all season, while Watford earned a first win in seven with a 1-0 triumph over Sunderland.
