Niamh Fahey has been ruled out of the Republic of Ireland's Euro 2025 qualifiers against France and England as she continues to recover from a calf strain.

The Liverpool defender missed the recent WSL game against Manchester City but travelled to Dublin to be assessed by the Irish medical team. However, Fahey has now left the squad, while no player has been called up as a replacement.

Eileen Gleeson's side begin their quest to qualify for the finals in Switzerland with an away date against France in Metz on Friday.

Four days later the reigning European champions England visit the Aviva Stadium.
