Two SSE Airtricity Men's Premier Division games have been postponed after heavy snow hit Dublin on Friday.

Tonight's fixture between reigning champions Shamrock Rovers and Drogheda United at Tallaght Stadium is off due to a failed pitch inspection, with Bohemians' clash with Dundalk at Dalymount Park also cancelled.

In a statement, the league said: "The League of Ireland can confirm that tonight's fixture between Shamrock Rovers and Drogheda United in the SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division has been postponed due to a failed pitch inspection at Tallaght Stadium amid adverse weather conditions.

"Further information on a rescheduled date will be issued in due course."

The league later issued a statement confirming Dalymount had also failed a pitch inspection.

As it stands, three top-flight games will go ahead: Derry City's meeting with St Pat's at the Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium [live on RTÉ2 and the RTÉ Player from 7.35pm]; Sligo Rovers v Shelbourne at the Showgrounds; and Galway United v Waterford at Eamonn Deacy Park.

In the First Division, the fixture between Wexford and Cobh Ramblers at Ferrycarrig Park has been postponed, as has Bray Wanderers' clash with Longford Town at the Carlisle Grounds.
