Shamrock Rovers' highly promising playmaker Naj Razi has joined Serie B side Como.
The Hoops said the 17-year-old will move this week after "a significant upfront transfer fee along with contingency elements" was agreed between the clubs.
Razi joined Rovers when he was seven, making steady and impressive progress through their academy system all the way to Stephen Bradley's first team.
Former Arsenal and Barcelona star Cesc Fabregas is the part-owner and driving force behind Como, where Thierry Henry is an investor and Dennis Wise is club president.
Republic of Ireland Under-19 international Razi is the latest young talent to be snapped up by an Italian outfit, following in the footsteps of another former Hoop Kevin Zefi (Roma), Festy Ebosele (Udinese), James Abankwah (Udinese), Liam Kerrigan (Como, on loan at Novara) and Derin Adewale (Lecce).
Earlier on Thursday, Dundalk confirmed that Senan Mullen has completed a move to Torino.
The 18-year-old broke into the Lilywhites first team towards the end of last season and had attracted attention from clubs in England.
Boss Stephen O'Donnell had been keen to keep the midfielder for 2024, but Mullen has opted to head for Italy.
"The Torino Football Club announces that it has acquired, definitively, the right to the sporting performances of the footballer Senan Mullen from the Dundalk Football Club," the Italians announced on Thursday.

Meanwhile the Lilywhites have signed Northern Ireland Under-21 international striker Ciaran McGuckin on loan from Rotherham United.
The 20-year-old, who has been at the English Championship club since the age of 10, moves to Oriel Park until the summer.
McGuckin said: "I’m a striker who can play down the middle or in off the left or right. I press from the front and I work hard, I like to run in behind and hopefully, I can score lots of goals."
After graduating through Rotherham's youth ranks, McGuckin made his first-team debut for the club in an EFL Trophy win over Manchester City in October 2021.
After signing a professional contract with the Millers in April 2022, he went on loan to National League North outfit Scarborough Athletic, where he scored five goals in 24 league appearances
A regular with Northern Ireland’s U21 side over the last two years, he made five appearances for Rotherham in the early part of the Championship season and has been involved in their match-day squad for the past four and a half months.
"I’ve been in and around the first team for the last 12 to 18 months and I’ve learned a lot but I knew that I needed to go out and get some game time to help with my development," he said.
"I wanted to do that at a high level and I have that here at Dundalk."

English League 1 side Fleetwood Town have wrapped up a deal for St Patrick's Athletic striker Tommy Lonergan.
Lonergan joins Ronan Coughlan, Promise Omochere, David Harrington, Ryan Graydon, Pheonix Patterson, Junior Quitirna as former LOI players who have moved to the club.
The former UCD striker scored the clinching goal for the Saints in last year's FAI Cup, although he struggled for first-team starts in his one year in Richmond Park after joining from UCD.
The 20-year-old could feature for Fleetwood in their league game with Port Vale on Saturday after signing a two and-a-half year contract.
Fleetwood are in a partnership with Waterford FC and it remains to be seen if he is loaned to the club for the first half of the League of Ireland season.
On Friday, UCD confirmed that 18-year-old full-back Daniel Babb has joined Championship high-flyers Ipswich Town on a permanent deal.
Babb has represented Ireland at under-19 level.
