Damien Duff has hailed the loan signing of Will Jarvis as "amazing news" as Shelbourne continue preparations for the 2024.
Despite no longer being officially linked with Hull City, Shels were able to secure a second loan spell for Jarvis who impressed in the second part of the last campaign.
The attacker made 12 appearances for Duff's side scoring three vitally important goals as the Reds secured a top four finish and qualified for Europa Conference League football.
The 21-year-old scored his first Shels goal against Cork City in September 2023 in a 2-1 win at Tolka Park, he netted the winner against Dundalk the following month, before helping the Reds come from 2-0 down on the final day to win 4-2 in Drogheda, with Jarvis scoring the leveller.
His loan deal will last for the entire Premier Division season.
Duff said: "It's amazing news that Will is coming back, even better that he wants to come. His impact on the team was there for everyone to see, he is a special player.
"We look forward to working with Will again and helping him grow on and off the pitch. Thank you to Hull also for making it happen. The partnership might have ended but the relationship remains strong."
Jarvis was happy to return to Ireland with opportunities at Hill limited: "I had a great experience at Shels last season so I was really delighted to get the chance to come back. The club helped me grow and develop last season and I am really excited to kick on again this season."
Jarvis becomes the 22nd member of their squad, leaving the Dublin side in good fettle for the start of the season on 16 February.
Meanwhile, St Patrick's Athletic have completed a deal for defender Luke Turner on a multi-year contract from Cliftonville for an undisclosed fee.

Goalkeeper David Odumosu, who has been on loan at Solitude from St Pat's since July 2023, has joined Cliftonville on a permanent deal as part of the agreement.
Turner, who is a Republic of Ireland underage international, won the 21/22 Irish League Cup with Cliftonville, and was named NI Football League, NI Football Writers and Ulster Young Player of the Year that season as well as Cliftonville Young Player of the Year.
Turner is delighted to be joining a club close to his heart: "I found out about the possibility of joining the club on Friday and it was pure elation to the honest.
"I used to come here to Richmond Park as a kid and watch the likes of Christy Fagan and Chris Forrester during his first spell, it feels brilliant to be a St Pat's player now.
"I'm going to try my hardest for the club, for the manager and for the fans, the club has shown great faith in me so I just want to get out on the pitch and repay that and show everyone what I can do and hopefully I can be part of a success here."
Manager Jon Daly feels it's a big signing for the Saints: "There was a lot of interest in Luke from other clubs so we're really happy to have him on board.
"Luke is a player we have been monitoring over recent months and we've been really impressed with him.
"He's a local boy and understands what it means to play for Pat's.
"He'll add quality to our squad and increase our options at centre-back. It's a position we've been looking to strengthen and now we have great competition in that area with Joe Redmond, Conor Keeley, Alfie Taylor, Tom Grivosti and Luke."
Dundalk have also made a big addition with Scottish striker Jamie Gullan completing his move to Oriel Park.

The 24-year-old arrives from Raith Rovers.
Gullan spent five years at Hibernian, where he played alongside his new team-mate Daryl Horgan, and had three loan spells at Raith Rovers, where he lined out alongside another new arrival at Oriel Park, Ross Munro.
He moved to Stark’s Park on a permanent deal in January 2022 and after making a total of 118 appearances - scoring 32 goals - for the Scottish Championship outfit, he was given a warm send-off by the Rovers supporters at the weekend.
"I spent a lot of years at Raith and built up a really good connection with the fans so I had to say a few tough goodbyes but I’m buzzing to get over here and I’m excited to be part of this club."
Gullan will wear the number nine jersey at Oriel Park, taking over from Pat Hoban.
He added: "It’s an honour to wear that number," he said. "There’s a lot of history with it and a lot of goals were scored in that number so hopefully I can carry that on and do it justice in the future."
Dundalk boss Stephen O’Donnell described the transfer as "an exciting one" for everyone connected to the club.
"We’ve been tracking Jamie for some time," said O’Donnell. "It didn’t look like it was going to happen at various times so to get him over the line is fantastic.
"He broke into the Hibs team at a young age and had a good scoring record at Raith Rovers. He’s 24 and ready to kick on now and go and really achieve something with his career. It’s an exciting signing for everyone."
