Republic of Ireland Under-17s midfielder Aaron Ochoa Moloney made his first start for Spanish third-tier side Malaga on Sunday night as they slipped to a 1-0 loss to Real Sociedad in the Copa del rey.
In December the 16-year-old made club history when he came off the bench against Aldense to become Malaga's youngest ever first-team player.
He got the nod from the start for the clash against Real Sociedad but the visitors progressed to the last 16 thanks to Igor Zubeldia's effort in the 49th minute.
Academy graduate Ochoa Moloney played the first 65 minutes of the match, making way for David Larrubia. He was first brought into the Ireland fold last February when he linked up with the Under-16s for two firendlies against Switzerland.
