Shelbourne have signed highly experienced pair Sean Gannon and Keith Ward as Damien Duff adds depth to his squad for next season.
Gannon was part of the Shamrock Rovers side who won four SSE Airtricity Men's Premier Division titles in a row.
He has been part of ten League of Ireland-winning sides and is the most decorated player in the history of Irish football with three FAI Cup winner's medals, three EA Sports Cups, and three FAI President’s Cups.
The 32-year-old was out of favour with the champions this year and they announced his departure last week.
Gannon has made over 300 senior appearances in the League of Ireland and FAI Cup since making his debut in 2011. The Dubliner counts the Hoops, St Patrick’s Athletic and Dundalk FC among his former clubs.
Gannon said: "I couldn't be happier to join Shelbourne. It’s an honour to be part of such a special club. I’m from Ringsend, I know what this club means to people. It’s a place I’ve always wanted to come to in my career.
Ward is about to enter his 17th season in the league. The 33-year-old made his debut in 2008 with UCD, before going on to play for Dundalk, Bohemian FC, Sligo Rovers, and Derry City.
He arrives at Tolka from the Lilywhites where he spent the last two seasons.
"I'm absolutely thrilled to join Shels," said Ward. "The club’s going in the right direction and I was delighted when Damien called and told me he wanted me to be here next season. I’m eager to contribute and have a lot to give, it’s a massive club and I’m really excited to get going now."
