WEATHER
Drammen will be below freezing for kick-off due to a very cold spell. Temperatures are expected to be -4 although there should be little wind or rain.
CONTINUING A PERFECT START
Norway are set to provide Ireland with their biggest test so far.
The Boys in Green have made the ideal start to qualification with a late win over Turkey and seeing off minnows San Marino and Latvia with little fuss.
It leaves Ireland in a great position, knowing their real challenges are to come.
Tonight's match in Norway and Italy travelling to Cork next week will go a long way to deciding the layout of the group.
Norway put seven goals on the board against Latvia and San Marino, but came up short in their crunch match away to the Italians.
This game could be hugely telling in the race for second place and Ireland manager Jim Crawford is under no illusion that the Norwegians provide a difficult hurdle, especially away from home.
"Norway are a very technical team that are full of outstanding technical players," he said.
"Speaking to the locals around the hotel they have Norway as the strong favourites. We'll see how that develops, because we have a very talented team and this will make for a really exciting contest."

MORAN MAKES THE JUMP
Jim Crawford will be without Andrew Moran as he is needed for the senior side in Amsterdam.
Adam Murphy has been called up, leaving a cohort of FAI Cup winners in the squad.
Murphy, Kian Leavy, Conor Carty and Sam Curtis all helped the St Patrick's Athletic to win the trophy last Sunday.
But it remains to be seen how Jim Crawford balances his squad. The loss of Moran is huge. He was very influential in Latvia and argubly the star player of the group.
His departure was inevitable, however.
Goals have been Ireland's strength and the quality of their approach play. Sinclair Armstrong has been a focal point in attack with Tony Springett a real find, while at the back, Bosun Lawal is showing the experience is gaining at club level.
