Two games in tonight's of SSE Airtricity Men's Premier Division schedule have been called off due to torrential rainfall in Dublin.

The basement battle between UCD and Cork City at UCD Bowl fixed for 7.45pm this evening is off, while so too is Shamrock Rovers' clash against Drogheda United at Tallaght Stadium.

It has now been confirmed that Drogheda's visit to Rovers will take place this Sunday with a kick-off time of 8pm.

UCD and Cork City's rearranged fixture will be held on the same date, with a 3pm kick-off.

The postponements means that Monday's scheduled fixture between Cork City and Shamrock Rovers, which had been scheduled to be broadcast live on RTÉ 2, has been pushed back to Bank Holiday Monday, 30 October.

The inclement weather continues to cause havoc, with the combination of an orange weather warning for Dublin making both pitches unplayable.

In the SSE Airtricity Men's First Division, the Carlisle Grounds passed an afternoon pitch inspection for the meeting of Bray Wanderers and Finn Harps, but the club say they will continue to monitor the situation throughout the day.
