Manchester United are likely to unveil Rasmus Hojlund as their latest signing during Saturday's friendly against Lens.
The 20-year-old Denmark striker has completed his medical after United agreed a deal with Atalanta in principle last week worth £64million (€74m) plus a further £8m in potential add-ons.
Hojlund has agreed a five-year deal with the option of a further season at Old Trafford and will become Erik ten Hag’s third summer signing.
England midfielder Mason Mount arrived from Chelsea in June for £55m and goalkeeper Andre Onana completed his move from Inter Milan last month for a fee of £47.2m.
Serie A side Atalanta paid Sturm Graz a reported £15m for Hojlund last summer and he scored nine goals in 32 league appearances.
Hojlund, who has scored six goals in six senior internationals for Denmark, started out at Copenhagen, making his first-team debut aged 17, and moved on to the Austrian Bundesliga in January 2022.
United play Ligue 1 side Lens at Old Trafford on Saturday (12.45pm) and take on LaLiga side Athletic Bilbao in their final pre-season friendly in Dublin on Sunday (4pm).

Chelsea have agreed a £25million (€29m) deal with Brighton for goalkeeper Robert Sanchez.
Sanchez – who saw Jason Steele come in as Brighton's number one during the latter half of last season – is set to join the Blues to offer competition for Kepa Arrizabalaga following the departure of Edouard Mendy to Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli.
It is understood the transfer involves an up-front £25m payment, with an additional sell-on clause included.
Spain international Sanchez, 25, worked with Chelsea goalkeeping coach Ben Roberts when he was at Brighton. Roberts left for Stamford Bridge in September 2022.
New Blues manager Mauricio Pochettino is in the process of overhauling his squad following the club’s worst season in almost 30 years.
Chelsea have also been linked with a move for Seagulls midfielder Moises Caicedo, with Brighton said to be looking for a £100m fee.
France forward Christopher Nkunku, who arrived from RB Leipzig in a £63million switch, continues to be assessed on a knee problem which forced him off during the final game of Chelsea’s pre-season tour in the United States against Borussia Dortmund.
"The doctors are checking him and I hope it is not a big issue," Pochettino told reporters following the 1-1 draw at Soldier Field in Chicago.
"He fell in the action which was maybe a penalty and he feels something in his knee, but we hope it is nothing big. We hope he can be back quickly with the team. We need a few days to assess him."
Chelsea open the new Premier League campaign at home to Liverpool on 13 August.

Newcastle are closing in on a deal to sign Southampton full-back Tino Livramento for a fee which could rise to around £35m (€41m).
Talks between the two clubs are understood to be at a very advanced stage and the England Under-21 international is expected to become Newcastle boss Eddie Howe's third first-team signing this summer.
It has been reported a fee which could rise to £40m had been agreed, but it is understood performance-related add-ons would take the figure closer to £35m.
Livramento, 20, who signed a five-year deal when he joined Southampton from Chelsea for £5m in August 2021, missed all but the final two games last season due to an anterior cruciate ligament injury sustained in April 2022.
He returned to action in May, making two substitute appearances in Southampton’s final two Premier League games before they were relegated.
Newcastle will play Champions League football next season after finishing fourth in Howe’s first full campaign in charge.
Last month the Magpies signed Italy midfielder Sandro Tonali from AC Milan in a deal reportedly worth in excess of £50m and winger Harvey Barnes from Leicester for a fee which could rise to £38m.
Luton have completed the signing of Belgian goalkeeper Thomas Kaminski from Blackburn.
The 30-year-old has joined for an undisclosed fee and is set to travel with his new team-mates for the pre-season friendly against Bochum in Germany.
Kaminski becomes the seventh new arrival at Kenilworth Road this summer following promotion as the Hatters reshape the squad for a first Premier League campaign.
Kaminski will reunite with former Rovers team-mate Amari’i Bell at Kenilworth Road and is looking forward to the challenges ahead.
"Knowing Luton’s story and playing against them, it’s a well organised team. You can see the togetherness on the pitch," he said.
"I’m delighted to be here and looking forward to the opportunity."

Rangers have signed Ecuador midfielder Jose Cifuentes from Los Angeles FC on a four-year deal, subject to international clearance.
The 24-year-old is Rangers boss Michael Beale's ninth summer signing after the two clubs agreed an undisclosed fee, reported to be £1.2m.
Beale told the club’s website: "Jose is a player we have followed for a long time. I was originally aware of him when he broke through in Ecuador and I have followed him on his journey with LAFC in the MLS.
"He is a midfielder who can play in a variety of roles, both as a box-to-box player and in a more defensive role. He has excelled in the MLS and for his national team."
Cifuentes was in Ecuador’s squad at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and has made 16 appearances for his country.
He moved from Ecuador to LAFC in 2020 and helped them win the MLS Cup and the Supporters’ Shield in 2022.
Cifuentes said: "I’m very excited to be here, I think this club is amazing.
"When I spoke to Michael Beale, he told me about the project, what he wants here for the club, and he told me what he wants from me here so that’s why I joined. I love his project and his vision for football."
Rangers signed Brazilian striker Danilo from Feyenoord at the end of last month, while Kieran Dowell, Dujon Sterling, Jack Butland, Sam Lammers, Abdallah Sima, Cyriel Dessers and Leon Balogun have all arrived since the end of last season.
Ajax have signed Portuguese winger Carlos Borges from Manchester City in a 14million euro (£12m) deal.
The 19-year-old had been linked with a move to West Ham, but has instead headed to Amsterdam on a contract which runs until the summer of 2028.
Under the terms of the transfer, the fee could rise to 19million (£16.3m) through add-ons.
Borges has been with City's youth academy since 2014 and played for the Under-21s last season, winning the Premier League 2 title.
He finished as top scorer with 21 goals but did not make an appearance for the senior side.
