Derry City and Dundalk lead Irish hopes in the Europa Conference League tonight while Shamrock Rovers look to salvage some pride against Ferencvaros.
KuPS v Derry City (Agg 1-2), Savon Sanomat Areena, 5pm
It was a special night in the Ryan McBride Brandywell last week when Derry City came from behind to bring a lead to Finland.
The Candystripes looked a superior team but fell behind to a late first-half penalty. KuPS were missing some players due to restrictions on entering the jurisdiction in Derry.
African contingent Ibrahim Cisse (Ivory Coast), Collins Sichenje (Kenya) and Clinton Antwi (Ghana) all return.
As a result they will be a stronger outfit at home, so the tie is very well poised going into the deciding leg.
However one players they will be out is Urho Nissilä. He looked a threat in Derry and departed for pastures new this week after the expiration of his contract.
There is a major incentive for the winner of this tie. Swiss side Basel were expected to be the next opponent, only to be reduced to nine men in the home game with Kazakhstani side Tobol Kostanay and lose 3-1. The path may be slightly less difficult to the play-off round.
City are looking stronger after the recovery of a number of players in recent weeks, while new signing Paul McMullen impressed as a substitute.
"It would be absolutely amazing," Derry boss Ruaidhri Higgins told the BBC of thoughts of progressing to the third round.
City have only won two rounds in Europe once before. They famously dismantled Scottish outfit Gretna in 2006 having already taken the scalp of IFK Goteborg.
The Derry manager added: "KuPS are a proper team. They've got real experience in Europe but we know if we replicate our performance in the Brandywell then we can go over there and get a special result.
"We know that we've got players who can win matches in an instance. If we don't have to score, great. If we do have to score then we've got the talent within our group to do that.
"If we are going to go there and get a result then we know that we are going to need to be defensively really good as well.
"Everyone knows what is expected of them, it's been a real team effort in that sense."
Dundalk v KA Akureyri (Agg 1-3), Oriel Park, 7.45pm

Dundalk had huge regrets with the outcome of the first leg in Iceland last week.
Nathan Sheppard and his defence had just three shots on target to face all night and found them all in the back of the net.
Daniel Kelly's one-time equaliser gives the Lilywhites some hope in the second leg against a mid-table side.
The mood has been lifted at Oriel Park this week with the coup of bringing Daryl Horgan home from Britain - a big favourite at the club during their glory years - and another attacking player in ex-Sheffield Wednesday man Sam Durrant.
Neither can feature this evening, yet there is at least a pep in the step ahead of this second leg.
Manager Stephen O'Donnell believes his side still have a good chance of a progression, if they can make it a "unique" night at Oriel: "It was a disappointing result as I thought we were totally dominant. Obviously I was frustrated with the goals we gave up on counter-attacks.
"In terms of performance it was a totally dominant one away from home and on another day we could have got three or four goals.
"It's half-time and we're looking forward to the second leg. Anyone watching the game will think that this tie isn't over. We're going to need one of this unique occasions because you're starting the game with a deficit."
Shamrock Rovers v Ferencvaros (Agg 0-4), Tallaght Stadium, 8pm

Shamrock Rovers boss has admitted tonight's Europa Conference League second round tie is already decided and one eye will be on Sunday's Premier Division clash with Cork City.
Regardless the Hoops manager is at least keen to see his side win the second leg in Tallaght Stadium.
A bright start mattered little in Budapest as the league champions went down by four goals to a vastly superior side.
He said: "We have to be careful. We obviously have to think of the Cork game on Sunday. I think to feel we can turn the tie around is unrealistic, Ferencvaros will get opportunities during the game. But we will absolutely try and win the game, there's no doubt we'll try.
"Can we win the tie? Hand on heart I don’t think so, but we’ll definitely try and win the second leg and hopefully come out of it with no injuries and focus on Sunday which is a really important league game."
Bradley tried to look to the good points of last week.
"There were lots of positives. I know the result puts a dampener on it obviously, but Liam Burt was brilliant, he's had a tough season with the injury he came in with, and we've been trying to get it right all year. I think he showed in the first leg what he’s going to bring to us, something different in the final third which we want and need.
"Johnny Kenny was excellent, we forget how young he still is, leading the line for the best team in the country isn’t easy and you can see every week Johnny’s getting better and better. It was great to again get Naj on the pitch, give him a taste of the sort of games that we hope him, Conan Noonan, Kieran Cruise and Darragh Nugent are going to play a big part in the future for this club.
"So, it was important for Naj to experience and feel it and I thought he did well which is no surprise when you see the kid and hopefully that’s the first of many."
Trevor Clarke, Jack Byrne, Neil Farrugia, Darragh Nugent and Rory Gaffney all remain unavailable.
Lee Grace is doubtful after picking up a knock in Hungary.
