Newcastle United have signed Italy midfielder Sandro Tonali for an undisclosed fee on an initial five-year contract.
The 23-year-old arrives at St James' Park from AC Milan having represented his country 14 times at senior level and captained the Under-21s at the European Championship finals this summer.
Tonali said: "First of all, I want to thank Newcastle United because they are giving me a huge opportunity for my career.
"I want to repay the trust on the pitch, giving it my all, as I always have. I'm really excited about playing at St James' Park, I can't wait to feel the warmth of the fans."
Magpies head coach Eddie Howe said: "I'm delighted to welcome Sandro to Newcastle United. He is an exceptional talent and has the mentality, physicality and technical attributes to be a great fit for us.
"At 23, Sandro already has important experience as a key player in one of Europe's top leagues and in the Champions League, as well as playing for his country.
"But he also has the opportunity and potential to grow and evolve with us, and I'm excited to add him to our squad as we approach the exciting season ahead."
Brighton have signed Netherlands Under-21 goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen from Anderlecht, the Premier League club have announced.
The 20-year-old has signed a five-year contract at the Amex Stadium.
Verbruggen was named player of the season at Anderlecht last term despite only breaking into the first team in December.
He helped the club reach the quarter-finals of the Europa Conference League and made his debut for the Dutch Under-21 side last month. He also earned a senior call-up in March.
Seagulls head coach Roberto De Zerbi said: "I am very pleased to have signed Bart.
"He is used to playing a type of football similar to ours and he will have no problem fitting into our group.
"He has the potential to become a very important player for the club in the coming years."
Verbruggen began his career with hometown club NAC Breda and has also represented his country at Under-18 level.
Celtic have confirmed Portuguese winger Jota has left the Scottish champions to join Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad.
The 24-year-old makes the permanent switch following two years in Glasgow, having spent one season on loan from Benfica before signing a permanent contract.
Jota helped Celtic to two league titles during his time with the club, scoring 27 goals over a two-year spell in all competitions.
He follows a number of high-profile players in joining the Saudi Pro League and becomes Al-Ittihad's third signing of the summer after former Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema and ex-Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante signed for the club.
After the signing, Celtic wrote on the club website: "In his time in the Hoops, Jota won two league titles as well as picking up winner’s medals in both the Scottish and League Cups.
"Everyone at Celtic Football Club wishes Jota success in his future career."
