Second half goals from Krystian Nowak and Ali Coote saw Bohemians fight back from two goals down to avoid a third straight defeat against Dundalk at Oriel Park.
Declan Devine's side looked set for another loss as a third minute opener from Patrick Hoban and an own goal from James Talbot had the Lilywhites two goals to the good after half an hour.
However, the Gypsies rallied well in the second half to become the first side since Derry City in 2019 to fight back from two down to claim a point at Oriel.
The result keeps Bohs three points clear of Stephen O’Donnell’s side in third, with Dundalk having played a game more following their 3-0 defeat in Derry on Monday night.
The Louth men got off to a dream start when they hit the front after just 170 seconds. After Krystian Nowak had denied Johannes Yli-Kokko with a fine block, Robbie McCourt’s corner caught Talbot in no man’s land with Hoban punishing the error by heading in his 16th career goal against Bohs.
There was little threat from the visitors after that with Jordan Flores firing a free kick straight into the wall in the ninth minute.
Dundalk then doubled their lead on the half hour mark with Connor Malley’s thunderbolt crashing off the bar before coming off the back of the helpless Talbot for an unfortunate own goal.

Malley might not have been awarded that goal but he did go close to getting his name on the scoresheet two minutes later when he weaved his way through a couple of challenges to get a shot away at the edge of the box that drifted just wide.
Dundalk then had big appeals for a penalty turned down three minutes before the break when Yli-Kokko appeared to be pushed over inside the box by James McManus but referee Neil Doyle was uninterested.
Bohs then had another let-off a minute before the break when Hoban rose to meet a Ryan O’Kane corner only for it to be hooked off the line by the man wearing the other captain’s armband, Keith Buckley.
The visitors introduced Jay Benn and McDaid at half-time and the latter’s lay off to Adam McDonnell produced their side’s first shot on target within two minutes of the restart but it was straight at Nathan Shepperd.
Dundalk then went close again on 50 minutes when a teasing inswinging free from McCourt picked out John Martin unmarked but the Kilkenny man couldn’t keep his header down as it went well over the bar.
McCourt then came to his side’s rescue at the other end 15 minutes later when he headed clear a Coote corner that looked destined for the net after another McDonnell effort had to be turned around the post by Shepperd.
Coote then turned provided again on 70 minutes with a delightful ball into the box which picked out Kris Twardek unmarked but the Canadian couldn’t get the power on his effort to punish Shepperd.
McDaid then had another chance two minutes later but his effort was straight at the Welsh goalkeeper.
The visitors would find the net on 77 minutes though when Nowak beat Shepperd to Flores’ corner to nod home to make it 2-1.
The Gypsies then went in search of an equaliser and two minutes later they had another attempt as Benn’s long throw was flicked on by Kacper Radkowski, whose effort was easily dealt with by the keeper.
Dundalk had a chance of their own on 82 minutes with Keith Ward’s clever cut back putting McCourt in but he could only prod wide.
Bohs' equaliser arrived three minutes from time with Coote’s free wide on the left finding its way through a crowded penalty area into the bottom corner.
Dundalk did have a last gasp chance to restore their lead in the 92nd minute when Hoban flicked on Ward’s inswinging cross but it was no problem for Talbot to deal with.
