Katie McCabe scored a stunning winning goal for Arsenal against Manchester City in their crunch Women's Super League meeting this afternoon just days after limping off against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
McCabe had to leave the action on Wednesday evening as Arsenal beat Bayern 2-0 to secure a 2-1 aggregate win and reach the Champions League semi-final.
Irish fans' fears were assuaged somewhat when Vera Pauw named the winger in her squad for the upcoming trip to the US.
But McCabe took her place in the starting line-up and curled the ball into the top corner with 12 minutes left after advancing from a set-piece.
It gave the Gunners the win over City as they fought back to win 2-1 after Khadija Shaw had given the visitors an early lead.
McCabe was also involved in the Arsenal equaliser as she gained an assist for Frida Maanum's 62nd-minute effort.
Arsenal's win moves them above City on goal difference, with both three points behind leaders Manchester United.
Elsewhere, Chelsea moved back to within one point of United with a comfortable 3-0 victory away to Aston Villa.
