Chelsea have completed the loan signing of forward Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid until the end of the season.
As part of the deal, it is understood that Chelsea will pay a loan fee of around £9m (€10.2m) and also cover the player's £5.3m (€6m) wages.
"Chelsea is one of the great teams in the world and I hope to help the team reach their objectives, so I am very, very happy to be here and very excited to play at Stamford Bridge," Felix said on the Chelsea website.
The arrival of the Portugal international, who was the subject of interest from Arsenal and Manchester United, comes with Blues manager Graham Potter in the grip of an injury crisis.

Chelsea had 10 first-team players unavailable for last Sunday's meek 4-0 surrender to Manchester City in the FA Cup.
Felix became the fifth most expensive player in the world when Atletico paid £113m to bring him in from Benfica as a 19-year-old in 2019, but his performances for the La Liga side have not consistently justified the fee and it is hoped he can rediscover his form in the Premier League.
The 23-year-old also featured in Portugal’s run to the World Cup quarter-finals in Qatar last month, scoring in the 3-2 group-stage victory against Ghana.
Atletico confirmed Felix had extended his contract with them for one more season, until June 2027.
Felix made a total of 131 appearances for Atletico, scoring 34 goals and providing 18 assists.

Aston Villa have signed full-back Alex Moreno from Real Betis.
The 29-year-old has joined for a reported £13m subject to international clearance and a visa application.
He becomes the first signing under Unai Emery, who had targeted a wideman in the January transfer window.
Emery told the club's official site: "Alex is a good player that can help our squad. He has been one of the top left-backs in La Liga over the past few seasons and we are delighted to have him here."
Moreno can operate on the left side of midfield and also adds competition for Lucas Digne, who only arrived from Everton for £25million last year.
He made 122 appearances for Betis, scoring six times, after moving from Real Vallecano having started his career at Mallorca.

Southampton have completed the signing of Argentinian midfielder Carlos Alcaraz from Racing Club.
Alcaraz, who is known as 'Charly', has signed a four-and-a-half-year deal at St Mary’s and becomes the second addition of the Nathan Jones era.
The 20-year-old joins Croatian international Mislav Orsic in moving to the Premier League club this month.
"Charly’s arrival is another major addition for us," Saints boss Jones said.
"There has been a lot of interest around Europe, so it’s great to get him in and also to have done it quite early in the month.
"He will give us a really exciting option and add a bit more creativity into the side, which is something that will be a real benefit to us."
Alcaraz came to prominence in his home country when he debuted for Racing Club at the age of 17 in 2020 and went on to make 83 appearances.
The midfielder played a key role in their runners-up showing in the Primera Division last year and scored the winner in the Champions Trophy final against Boca Juniors.
He added: "I’m very happy to be becoming part of this club.
"I knew that it would be a new challenge for me and for my career, so I wanted to take that, knowing that I would be joining a great club.
"I can’t wait to get started training and playing, and I’m ready to give 100% for this club, for this shirt. I’m looking forward to meeting all my team-mates, and I’m ready to give it my all."
