Republic of Ireland international Daryl Horgan has joined League Two side Stevenage FC on loan from Wycombe until the end of the season.

Horgan has played 100 games for Wycombe since joining from Hibernian in 2000, though appearances had become increasingly infrequent in 2022-23.

Stevenage are currently chasing promotion from the fourth tier, trailing Lleyton Orient by two points at the top of the table.

The 30-year old Galway native last played for Ireland in the 3-0 away win against Azerbaijan in October 2021.

Elsewhere, Cork City goalkeeper David Harrington has completed a transfer to English League One side Fleetwood Town.

The 22-year-old made 33 appearances for the Turner's Cross outfit since making his debut in 2021 after progressing through the club’s academy.

Harrington, who is currently suffering with a shoulder injury, has signed with The Cods until 2026 having helped City earn promotion back to the top flight last season.

He had previously been linked with a move to Premier League club Everton.

City manager Colin Healy said: "David is another academy graduate who has done very well for us since he came into the first team.

"He is now moving on to the next step of his career and we thank him for his service to the club and wish him the very best of luck for the future."

Harrington is the second League of Ireland player to move to the club this window after Phoenix Patterson - the 2022 PFAI First Division Player of the Year - joined from Waterford.

Town are owned by Andy Pilley, who is also owner of the Blues.

In December, both clubs simultaneously announced that former Republic of Ireland striker Jonathan Walters would be their new technical director.

Meanwhile League 2 side Barrow have brought in Bohemians defender Rory Feely on an 18-month deal.

Feely spent two seasons with Bohs after joining from St Patrick's Athletic.

He played 54 times for the Gypsies as once again the Dalymount Park side lose a member of their squad to foreign shores.

"Full credit has to go to our recruitment team for this signing," said Bluebirds boss Pete Wild.

"We are always looking for different avenues to recruit and this signing is a great example of that.

"After being presented with all the information and having had the opportunity to see Rory first hand on week-long trial, we felt he was a great addition to the group.

"He brings pace to our back four, he is really good with both feet and can play as a right-side centre half or a right back, which always is helpful with a small squad like ours.

"As you know, with our recruitment, the number one priority is the character of the individual.

"As such, having a player with over 150 league games in Ireland, we feel he has the natural attributes to fit well into our group."
